A1 Wood Floors has been supplying Perth residents with quality Timber Flooring for over 10 years. Formally known as The Wood Floor Shop, we have gained a reputation in the industry second to none." Our experienced staff will show our customers the different types of flooring available and explain their qualities and differences."

This ensures that our customers are fully informed about product prices and installation costs. We can accurately measure the flooring area from floor plans, or we can take measurements on site using the latest laser technology to determine the precise quantities and costs.

We work with our Wholesale Pricing Lists and negotiate with recommended installers and finishers directly, to ensure you receive an estimated saving of up to 10-15% on the supply and installation contract prices.

Our full range of flooring choices can be viewed in our online catalogue, however it is always recommended to check the colours in store for the most accurate reflection of the finishes and colours.

Colour is not a criterion in grading timber and cannot be considered grounds for rejection or complaint. Colour can and does vary within a tree and from tree to tree and is considered a natural component of flooring.

A contractor may entrer into a colour grading arrangement with the costomer on commercial terms which should be clearly in the schedule of works. Where a significant variation within a batch of timber is evident, a contractor should ensure a reasonable distribution of the variation.

Showroom samples may vary to products supplied. A Contractor or supplier is not obligated to consider natural variations of colour or texture in timber. When colour is critical to a purchaser, staining of timber can be considered to creat a more even colour. More information on staining can be obtained from the Australian Timber Flooring Association.

The most popular solid wood flooring is installed by directly fixing the strip planking onto the concrete using polyurethane glues.

Some things to consider when choosing your wood flooring include contractor rates for installing and finishing which are around $75m² with the added cost of your choice of timber flooring. Another consideration is moisture barriers @ $9m2 and beading @ $9 Lm. Floating Floors, either Laminate or Veneer types, are becoming more popular and can be a very price driven item. We don't like to be beaten for price on these products, however it is important to keep in mind the pros and cons of each type of flooring. Our specialized wood flooring showroom is the best forum to make these comparisons.

For Perth’s biggest range, and most competitive prices , you’ll find them at A1 Wood Flooring.
